You Don’t Need to Answer Every Interview Question Perfectly

One of the biggest misconceptions candidates have is believing they need a perfect answer for every question.

The reality?

Interviewers are rarely looking for perfection. They’re looking for how you think.

If you don’t know something:

  • Be honest.
  • Explain how you would approach solving it.
  • Share a similar experience if possible.
  • Show curiosity and a willingness to learn.

Trying to bluff an answer is usually much more damaging than admitting you haven’t worked with a particular technology.

Confidence isn’t pretending to know everything—it’s demonstrating that you can learn, adapt and solve problems.

Sometimes, the best impression comes from the most honest answer.
