QA Technical Architect

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organization where quality is core to their product success. We are looking for a technical leader who can design and implement automation solutions using Playwright and Cypress, working across cross-functional teams. As a QA Technical Architect, you will take ownership of the overall QA automation architecture and strategy across our iGaming projects. You’ll design, build, and optimize testing frameworks primarily using Playwright and Cypress, guiding the QA team in implementing scalable, maintainable, and efficient test solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the QA automation architecture for web and mobile iGaming platforms.
  • Design and implement end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright and Cypress.
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA engineers and testers.
  • Ensure automation solutions are scalable and aligned with business needs.
  • Drive best practices in test automation, code quality, and software testing methodologies.
  • Evaluate and introduce new testing tools and technologies where appropriate.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, architecture diagrams, and technical guides.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proven experience in a QA Architect or Senior Automation Engineer role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and Cypress for end-to-end testing.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript (Python or Java is a plus).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Familiarity with iGaming, betting, or online casino platforms is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of browser internals, APIs, and performance testing is a plus.
  • Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
