This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys building and maintaining business-critical applications while working closely with Product, QA, and technical teams. The successful candidate will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, helping to design, develop, enhance, and support scalable software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C# and the .NET Framework
- Develop clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following best practices
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other developers to deliver new features and enhancements
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to software architecture decisions
- Maintain and enhance existing applications while supporting software modernisation initiatives
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
- Develop and optimize database queries and data access layers
- Contribute to code reviews and promote development best practices
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience developing applications using .Net and Microservices
- Experience working with relational databases, particularly MySQL
- Knowledge of Docker
- Experience with React or VueJS
- Solid understanding of software development principles and the full software development lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional proficiency in English
- Knowledge of Maltese is considered an advantage
