We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join a growing technology team in Malta. The role will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into practical technology solutions and supporting projects from initial requirements through delivery and testing.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and document functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications and process flows.
- Work closely with developers and other technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
- Review existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in requirement workshops and discussions with internal stakeholders.
- Create UAT scenarios and test cases and support testing before implementation.
- Analyse system and data flows, integrations and dependencies between different platforms.
- Support the delivery of new products, features and system improvements.
- Maintain clear project and requirements documentation.
- Contribute to improving internal processes and ways of working.
Requirements
- Around 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
- Experience working within a technology-driven environment.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience creating user stories, functional requirements and process documentation.
- Good understanding of systems, integrations and data flows.
- Familiarity with APIs and system integration concepts.
- Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Previous exposure to UAT and manual testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Professional level of English.
Experience with complex transactional platforms, payment technologies or similar systems would be considered an advantage.
Relevant Agile, Scrum or Business Analysis certifications would also be beneficial.
