A taste of what you will be doing

  • Work with developers to address issues and resolve them within given SLA constraints
  • Assist with deployments and debugging of applications within the environment
  • Responding to and reporting critical security events, including taking corrective measures according to defined security policies and procedures
  • Following up on issue resolution and documentation with vendors and other IT staff
  • Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting productions systems with AWS, Cloudflare and Kubernetes
  • Closely monitor the existing infrastructure and act if any anomalies arise as well as improving and the evolution, monitoring, and alert system
  • Support and improve CI/CD systems
  • Scripting of functions within the environment
  • Help define, document, evolve and evangelize high engineering standards and best practices across multiple areas

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps role
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent level of technical background gathered from other certifications and/or working experience
  • Experience in working with Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Cloudflare
  • Experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Gitlab
  • Previous work experience with CI/CD
  • Knowledge in Terraform, Go, Javascript and Clickhouse would be considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Team Leader in identifying and implementing improvements to the team’s incident logging system in order to provide a more effective and efficient service to end-users
  • Ensuring that the inventory of all user-related equipment, software, and software licenses is properly and adequately maintained, and ensuring timely execution of workstation hardware and software upgrades
  • Participating in the extended support duty roster coverage and assisting the Team Leader in monitoring, measuring, and evaluating the KPIs accordingly

Reporting to the SysOps Team Lead, the selected candidate will be working within the technology team, supporting and maintaining multiple platforms relating to the Bank’s core operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing/Monitoring and Prioritising the team’s daily incident log
  • Taking ownership of software platforms relating to the bank’s core operations
  • Keeping platforms up to date by testing and implementing the latest releases and patches delivered by third party suppliers throughout the year
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of platforms and monitoring for repeated issues, performing root cause analysis where necessary
  • Prioritizing and resolving day to day 2nd line issues relating to the platforms by using issue tracking tools
  • Assisting in post-implementation continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance
  • Collaborating with the various business, technology, and external supplier teams to provide system support, testing, and documentation
