We are looking for an experienced Fixed & IP Networks Manager to lead the design, delivery, and daily operations of a large-scale IP network infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of core network services while managing a team of network engineers.
You will play a key role in maintaining high network availability, driving infrastructure improvements, and supporting both fixed and mobile network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and operation of IP network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Manage IP Core networks supporting fixed, mobile, and enterprise services.
- Ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing network connectivity across internal systems and external partners.
- Monitor network performance, availability, scalability, and resilience while driving continuous service improvements.
- Minimise downtime through proactive maintenance and operational excellence.
- Maintain compliance with network security standards and industry best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers, supporting performance and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex networking issues and implement effective solutions.
- Manage operational budgets, KPIs, and service delivery targets.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network infrastructure.
Requirements
- MQF Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience within network infrastructure or telecommunications environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- IP networking (routing and switching)
LAN experience - Firewalls and network security
- Fixed access network technologies

- Experience managing large-scale network environments and technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational, planning, and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, and resolve complex technical challenges.
